Bishop D. Stevens Sr.

Bishop D. Stevens Sr. was born to Bishop Michael M. and Lady Andrea R. Stevens. Having been  exposed to ministry settings all of his life, Bishop Stevens remained in the church during even his  formative years as a young Marine. While he was a Staff Sergeant of Marines, he decided that simply  being “in church” was no longer enough as the Lord made it clear that he had a calling on his life for  much greater. Since that initial “yes,” God’s plan for Bishop Stevens’ life catapulted him along a  trajectory for ministerial and personal development, leadership training, mentorship, impartation, and  succession.
He was licensed and ordained, both at the hand of Bishop Willie J. Curry, Senior Pastor of  Shekinah Tabernacle Ministries in St. Robert, MO. Later, Elder Stevens exited the Marine Corps with an  honorable discharge as a Gunnery Sergeant of Marines, forgoing the six short years to retirement to stay  under the direct mentorship of Bishop H. D. Ware, Jr., whom he would later serve as adjutant.
Being trained in matters of order and protocol and developed as a servant of the church by his  senior leaders, Overseer Stevens soon enjoyed appointments within the Christians Equipping Christians  for Outreach Fellowship, Inc. as Director of the School of Adjutancy as well as an appointment as the  Overseer of Protocol and in May of 2019, General Overseer Stevens was consecrated to the Office of  Bishop at the hand of Apostle Dr. Russell L. Freeman, Chief Apostle of United Community Cathedral and  Presiding Prelate of Christians Equipping Christians for Outreach Fellowship, Inc., headquartered in  Columbia, Missouri. Bishop’s Herman Dean Ware, Jr., Earl Moore, and Lester Woods, Jr. served as co consecrators for his episcopal elevation.
Academically, Bishop Stevens has earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Religion: Biblical  and Theological studies as well as his Master of Divinity degree with a specialization in Leadership, and  is presently pursuing his Doctorate of Ministry: Ministry Leadership from Liberty Baptist Theological  Seminary.
Bishop Stevens currently serves as Chairman and Primary Bishop of Enduring Mercy Christian  Ministries, Inc., which serves to promote the Great Commission by equipping disciples, minister’s and  leaders of the church to fulfill their call in Christ. In addition, he serves as Bishop of Protocol with  Biblical Deliverance Ministries, Inc.
Bishop Stevens’ ministerial focus has three branches:

  • Ministerial Development: training and developing those who recognize a call on their lives  through teaching, mentoring, and discipleship.
  • Adjutancy and Protocol: promoting order in God’s church through training and mentorship of  protocol officers and adjutants/armor bearers.
  • Episcopal Training and Consecrations: ensuring the development and furtherance of the church’s  leaders through training, apostolic impartation, and consecration preparation & execution.
Bishop D. Stevens, Sr. is a loving father and husband who, along with his wife Devara, continues to raise their three teenage sons.
